Assistant Machine Operator

We are looking for an Assistant Machine Operator to work with an international manufacturing company in Statesville! These are ENTRY LEVEL positions with a company that has a great training program, opportunities for advancement, and will help you get hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment!

The Assistant Machine Operator will review production orders to determine machine settings and materials needed, accurately measure materials needed for production, record machine readings on a log sheet, and performs machine cleaning and filter changes as needed.

Pay rate: $14.00 to 15.00/hr.

Schedule: Now hiring for 12-hour shifts

• 2-2-3 schedule (two days on, two days off, must be able to work every other weekend)

• 7:45 am – 8:00 pm AND 7:45 pm – 8:00 am

Responsibilities:

• Review production orders to determine machine settings, adjustments, and material requirements.

• Prepare machine for production by accurately measuring materials according to the product recipe, mix materials, record mix information, and transfer mix to the production line.

• Assist with other production lines as needed.

• Operate machines effectively and record machine readings on a log sheet. Report any issues.

• Observe machine operation to detect any defects or machine malfunctions.

• Print labels and prepare products to be unloaded from the production line.

• Perform machine cleaning and filter changes as needed.

• Prepare materials for packaging by stacking, palletizing, and weighing products.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Able to follow all safety rules and FDA regulations.

• Able to operate powered hand trucks.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. throughout the shift.

• Basic mathematics and measurement skills.
